The Running Realtor: Super 8 Meme

A blend of ramblings about Real Estate & Running around New Haven County and the Connecticut Shoreline

Super 8 Meme

My wife, Sandra Cummings, dumped on me by sticking my name at the top of her list of victims assigned to complete the task of answering 8 questions that can be quite revealing to those prone to psychoanalysis interpretation.

For anyone new to blogging, a MeMe is a request to reveal several tid-bits that readers don’t know about the chosen one, in this case ME.  I generally let it all hang out so there are not many secrets.Three Worlds - M.C. Escher

  • Who is your favorite musical artist? The musical question was covered in detail some time ago. If I was forced to pick just one talented musician I would bob and weave and surely excape being pinned down, I'm Still the Same!
  •  Who is you favorite artist?  The mind challenging works of M.C. Escher and a close second would be the vibrantly colorful Black Velvet Art but I don't recall the Gas Station Attendent's Artist's name.
  • Who is your favorite blogger? I'll go with Jennifer Bukaty, Andrew Lenza & Jason Sardi because they are a wild threesome and everyone else seems to think they should be followed.  It's part of the Lemmings Law.
  • If you could meet anyone (alive or dead), who would it be and what is the most interesting thing about them?  I typically do not place people on a pedestal.  Whether rubbing shoulders with Presidents or Paupers all people have their own intriguing brand of intellect to offer.
  •  What did you want to be when you grew up?  I'm doing it.... Just being Me
  • What is the most interesting piece of trivia you know?  The Crux of the Biscuit is the Apostrophe.
  • If you could live in any point in history what would it be and why?  I would stretch my point from the beginning of time to eternity and beyond....
  • What is the most interesting job you have ever held?  I vaugley recall my work as a boob massager but the details are foggy... Sometimes I wonder if it was only a dream!

Of course my rebel intension of this piece was to fill it with fun and light humor. Please forward any complaints to Mr. Andrew Lenza.

Now to pick -  Eight is Enough….

Suzanne Sands   -   Sandi Bauman   -   Lisa Rapose   -   Cait Donohue

Susie Roscoe   -   Tracy Santrock   -   Judy Greenberg   -   George Souto

Your trivia is outstanding.
Stop flirting with Lenza.  It's much cuter when Sandra does it.

Dan - Please forward me your resume, I'm just dying to see your 'credentials'.  As always, very interesting ... and your response to the people you'd like to meet is pretty profound in of itself:-)

I love it!!! This is so dry and wonderful and just so YOU!  (So is that old job filled now? Or can I apply? :))

For someone who did nothing but complaint about doing a meme, you did a heck of good one. Just wondering, when did you have that job?

Posted by Sandra Cummings, Real Estate Agent, Guilford Connecticut (William Raveis Real Estate) almost 10 years ago

Monika... They do resurface quite often but can be fun if not taken to seriously.

Elaine... Flirting?   I thought I was breaking his balls or crushing his nuts or whatever west coast term applies.

Jason... I don't have a current resume but I like to think I'm the perfect blend of brains and brawn... LOL

Jennifer... Need to keep everything balanced... Can get slippery when wet...

Sandra... My compaint was strictly due to the time restraints and silence is a virtue!

Dan--What's with picking on  people for the memes now? I was on Sandra's list too...And someone else the same day. I decided to wait until I get 8 requests to write up mine... :)

See Dan? That didn't hurt did it? Sorry I couldn't pardon you but I like Sandra better :)

Teri... Actually I was planning my typical rebel rebuttal about how I wouldn't tag anyone but after seeing a comment by Suzanne I figured I pick'um..... Did send a sweet little note telling those tagged to feel free to ignore it if they weren't up to the fun.

Beth... Ouch!  I'm thinking of a new B word for you and it ain't Babe!  :-)

Posted by No Longer Active (Real Estate) almost 10 years ago

Dan...Beth likes me better. Beth likes me better...lol

Teri - If you like I can go change my meme and put your name down 8 times.

Posted by Sandra Cummings, Real Estate Agent, Guilford Connecticut (William Raveis Real Estate) almost 10 years ago

Dan,  All that bellyaching and yeah you're right it probably only took you about 15 min, but I did enjoy it.  Escher is great, always enjoyed his work and totally forgot about him.  Glad you had fun with this.

Hi Dan,

You are just so You! LOL! Now what the heck did I say to influence your pick...this is my third or fourth tag today! ;)

Posted by Suzanne Sands, Somerset MA Real Estate (Pavao Real Estate) almost 10 years ago

Marc... It may look like a quickie but there is an hour or more of thought...

Suzanne... You jut happened to make a wise crack about my memory or being a know-it-all or whatever you meant on Sandra's post and that was the first I've seen of you in awhile so I decided to tag to give you an excuse to write.

Posted by No Longer Active (Real Estate) almost 10 years ago

Dan some new things that I did not know, but it is not nice that you and others have added me to there list, not nice at all.  I will remember this.

Dan--I forgot the word "eight" in my comment...can't type I guess...

Posted by Teri Eckholm, REALTOR Serving Mpls/St Paul North & East Metro (Boardman Realty) almost 10 years ago

Hi Dan,

LOL! That was a compliment, I know how you like stats. As for the tag, I'm working on it in between all this other junk work. I like the idea of waiting for 8 tags....;)

Posted by Suzanne Sands, Somerset MA Real Estate (Pavao Real Estate) almost 10 years ago

George... At first I wasn't planning to tag anyone because like you I thought it was forcing extra work on friends but then realized being tagged could also be viewed as complimentary!

Teri...  The confusion must be because I neglected to put the long drawn out evolution of the Super 8 MeMe in my post.  The original concept as explained by Mary McKnight call for 8 for this reason.  "I am asking 8 questions because when tipped over the number 8 is the infinity symbol and that is totally geeky and 8 is my favorite number and it is 2008. Oh, how the stars have aligned!"

Suzanne... I know you meant well.... And my return compliment was a tag!   Take your time revealing those 8 answers...  :-)

YOU WIN...I'm IN...but not this early!!

I need to wake up before I decide WHAT to REVEAL by choice to YOU and all of AR!  LOL

Dan, my friend I do take it as a compliment, I just don't like the extra work.  But I do appreciate you grouping me with a bunch of beautiful women and not a bunch of ugly sweaty guys :) :)

I found out I got tagged through Jennifer and now Jeff B.  My post will go up tonight.  I hope you did well and aren't too soar for the next few days!
