Early to Bed & Early to Rise…

Makes a Man Healthy, Wealthy and Wise!  well... Two out of three Ain't Bad....

I have always been an early riser but lately it is getting a little crazy and I need to readjust my internal clock.  Could be the newness of the ActiveRain community and once the novelty wear off I'll be back to normal...

Got me thinking... I know my sleep pattern does not coincide with the rest of society. Typically I am up by 5:00am ready to go after about 6-1/2 hours rest. Waiting for the paper to arrive and waiting for the rest of my world to wake up.

This business is filled with adrenaline junkies, how much sleep do you find "normal" as a Realtor?

Comments

I know what you mean. I usually wake up at 4:00 AM after about 5 hours sleep. I am sure some clients wonder why I am sending emails to them at 4:30 AM. Getting up early is a habit that is hard to break. Started waking up at 4:00 when I was a paperboy 40 years ago.

Good Morning ActiveRain!

Me too,

I am not a realtor but my normal schedule is into bed by about 8:00 and up at 2:30. People think it's weird, but I get a ton of work done before my office co-workers start their shifts a t 8:00 AM

I love getting up early too.  I didn't get to sleep until almost 11pm last night and now I'm exhausted.

On an unrelated note.  Dan, what is your resting heart rate?

I get to bed around 11 and wake up around 6:30.  But then the next 1 1/2 hours is getting my kids ready and driving them to school!  So my day doesnt really start until after 8

Chris,

Rest,  What is that?  Keeping odd hours I have noticed your postings run around the clock.  To answer your question last time I checked in was about 55.

I met a retired running coach that asked me about my heart rate.  In your photo you look like a pro, so I expected a low heart rate.

Far from a pro... I just started paying attention to heart rate around Christmas time when I got a training watch.  Realized my running was to hard ( heart pounding ) and needed be slowed down.  Still had to shave 10 year or so off my age to program the thing though...  recommend heart rate is so  S L O W....

Several of the 5k's around here now have finish line photos, that was the best of the year.

I am a late night / early riser worker - I typically send emails to buyers that are active every night or morning - if something interesting came into their search - just to let them know I am watching the listings they are getting.  I create virutal tours in the a.m. with out distractions.  Bedtime is around midnight and I am up between 5:30 and 6:30 without an alarm
