The Running Realtor's Home Sales Report - March 2009

The activity in the market seems to be picking up this year but it has not been reflected in closed sales yet. Buyers are cautiously looking and taking their time before signing on the dotted line.  With the stimulus incentive of up to $8000 for first time home buyers they seem to be the majority of the "lookers" and will need to purchase before December 1st to qualify for the $8000 credit.

Dan I have been flat out the last couple of weeks.  It started before that with a bunch of Pre-Approvals, and now I am finally seeing the loans.  I would think that on the Realtor side you guys will probably go through some thing similar to that.

From your list of sales I can see that there is activity in your area.  We are seeing the same thing in southeastern Connecticut. With the rates and home prices more reasonable and the tax credit, the houses are moving.  This should be a good year.
